OLStats 3.0 Released

OLStats v3.0 is an advanced UT2004 stat collection utility. Check it out.

OLStats has two major functions:

The first, called the "Local OLStats Database" is full HTML logging of all matches. After every game, OLStats exports an HTML log file of the match you just played, as well as updates an "index" HTML file that holds tons of overall stats, like career stats for each player, career highs" showing which player has the record in many different categories, and so forth.

This function is best for people who only play instant action games or host games for their friends at LAN parties or something. Server admins of public servers will want to use the raw game log function.

Gaming Price Hike

A recent article in CNN Money states that game prices may be going up in the near future.

To date, Activision (ATVI: Research, Estimates) has given the clearest signal of impending price increases. Speaking at a Bank of America Securities investment conference last week, chairman and CEO Robert Kotick said Activision would raise wholesale prices on all titles released for next generation systems by $3 to $5. Hl2 expected release date

half-life2.net reports that some uncofirmed release dates for half-life 2 have been set for the last week in november. These release dates have been reported at other sites around the net as well so it looks like we could have the game in our hands by late november early december. As always with any half-life 2 release date (or any other unconfirmed release date) until valve or VU offically state that that is the release date the release dates are to be taken with a grain of salt. But on the bright side this seems to be real so keep your fingers crossed

Forgotten Hope Sound Pack

Tanelorn has released a sound pack for the latest version of Forgotten Hope.

This sound pack replaces some of the more synthetic sounding firearms sounds. This adds a bit more realism to gameplay, as all sounds are taken from actual firearms recordings or close resemblances. This sound pack is an accessory pack, it does not overwrite any files, is completely punkbuster safe, and can be removed by simply removing the sound_001.rfa file. Enjoy! Replaced sounds are:

- PPSH
- THompson
- Sten
- MP18
- MP40
- Bren
- BAR
- Mg34
- MG42
- M2 .50cal
- DP 1918
- Browning .30cal
